Mediation Process

1. Initial Consultation: Mediation begins with a confidential consultation to understand the nature of the dispute, eliminate conflict of interest and to explain the mediation procedure.
2. Preparation: Our mediator will request the parties to provide relevant documents and information and will review it before mediation.
3. Mediation Sessions: The mediator will engage with parties in joint and/or separate sessions to facilitate open and constructive dialogue between to helping them explore options and negotiate a settlement.
4. Resolution: If an agreement is reached, Mediator will assist the parties with preparing a confidential settlement agreement that is binding and enforceable.

Victoria Filippov Nemeth is a distinguished business attorney and licensed mediator, with over 24 years of experience in Business Law, Commercial Litigation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Liens and Collections, Contract Preparation and Negotiation, Corporate Governance, and Risk Management.

In her roles as outside corporate counsel, general counsel, chief compliance officer, and COO, Victoria has managed the legal affairs and operations of both private and publicly traded companies in the United States and abroad. Since 1999, she has helped hundreds of companies enhance efficiency while reducing legal risk and exposure. As the managing member of our firm, Victoria works directly with clients to design and implement best-practice processes and procedures that align with their vision and goals, minimizing the need for costly legal fees and time-consuming litigation.

Victoria’s extensive experience includes mediating disputes for companies and investors in energy transactions, covering all phases of oil and gas exploration and production, refining, power generation, energy services, transportation, and midstream. She has facilitated multiple domestic and international business acquisitions, facilitated the settlement of shareholder lawsuits, managed formal SEC and Labor Relations Board inquiries, and resolved compliance issues related to engineering, construction drilling, and project-management operations, including Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED), Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI), and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of customer-owned rigs.
